Judging

There are four areas of adjudication in the winter guard season:

- equipment

- movement

- design analysis

- general effect

 

Equipment judges adjudicate the consistency of the work from performer to performer.

 

Movement judges adjudicate the consistency of the choreography from performer to performer.

 

Design Analysis looks at the overall design of the show. This judges is trying to find connections from the design of the floor all the way through the use of certain choreography

 

General effect looks at the overall effectiveness of the performance, the design, and the soundtrack in relation to the theme estabilshed by the group.
